ABOUT THE AF TURNAROUND STEERING COMMITTEE

AF Turnaround began life as the AF180° campaign. AF180° was borne out of a series of roundtable meetings attended by healthcare professionals and patient advocates to discuss NICE CG180 clinical guidelines on AF and AF-related stroke. At the meetings, attendees shared their views on how AF-related stroke prevention is currently being managed in the UK and why it is important that CG180 is fully implemented. From this, the AF180° (now AF Turnaround) Steering Committee was initiated.

AF180° was focused on driving awareness of NICE CG180 amongst people with AF and healthcare professionals. AF Turnaround represents an evolution in our journey, one that is focused on building on CG180 recommendations to provide people with AF the information and tools that they need to become a partner in conversations about AF-related stroke.
